“Since Day One, CFFC has been very systematic in our approach to build a brand that centered around its athletes,” CFFC CEO Rob Haydak Jr. stated. “This national television agreement provides additional exposure to further showcase one of the best MMA rosters in the sport.”
“This is a game-changer for us,” stated CFFC President Mike Constantino, who also manages and trains a number of fighters with his AMA Fight Club. “We’ve worked extremely hard over the years to reach an industry-level position that recognizes CFFC as a leader, and this agreement with CBS Sports Network only helps to solidify that position.”
The first televised event, CFFC 48, takes place May 14 at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, N.J. It’s one of at least four events that CBS Sports Network will air in 2015; June 6, July 18 and Oct. 31 are also penciled in as televised shows.
The CFFC 48 headliner features CFFC welterweight champion and former Bellator titleholder Lyman Good (17-3) vs. Strikeforce vet Nah-Shon Burrell (11-5). Additionally, bantamweight champ Jimmie Rivera (15-1) meets Carson Beebe (15-3), and Jared Gordon (5-0) takes on Jeff Lentz (10-5-1) for the vacant featherweight title.
