Chris Honeycutt
Bellator 140 has received a big addition with a new welterweight bout for its return to Connecticut in July.
Chris Honeycutt (6-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) will meetPaul Bradley (22-6 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) at Bellator 140. Promotion officials announced the new pairing today.
Bellator 140 takes place July 17 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. The main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on MMAjunkie.
Honeycutt has been treated as one of the top prospects in the promotion and Bradley stands as the toughest test of his career.
Since turning pro in January 2013, Honeycutt has only been taken to the judges’ scorecards once. A two-time NCAA All-American wrestler, Honeycutt has expanded on his wrestling base to score two TKOs since joining Bellator. Honeycutt stopped Clayton MacFarlane with punches in Round 3 at Bellator 133.
