NEILLSVILLE (WAOW) - A Neillsville man accused of having sex with a donkey told investigators he did it because his "privates were out of control," according to a criminal complaint.
Gideon D. Swartzentruber, 20, is charged with one misdemeanor count of sexual gratification with an animal. He is to make his initial appearance in Clark County Circuit Court on Wednesday, online court records said.
Swatzentruber told police his boss at the farm where he worked caught him with his pants down and having sex with a female donkey on Sept. 1, the complaint said.
"He said his privates were out of control meaning that he was horny," the complaint said. "He said that he kind of touched the donkey and was playing around being crazy."
The intercourse lasted "not more than a minute," Swatzentruber told investigators.
"He said it's the first time he had done anything like that and he denied that he did anything with any other animals," the complaint said.
Online court records do not list an attorney for Swatzentruber.
The maximum punishment for misdemeanor sexual gratification with an animal is up to nine months in jail and a $10,000 fine.
