Some dork mapped out the temperatures in New York from 1973 to present day and I don't see a whole lot of difference. Everyone defaults to scientists but we forget that scientists are humans and humans are lying motherfuckers. You tell your wife you were watching the game with your buddies while you were slamming the receptionist at work, and you get to stay married. A scientist tells everyone the world is going to end and they need to study it more, and they get a boat load of money. Everyone is lying, everything is a con. Put your trust in Trump, he'll tell us what to do.

Climate change is about climate. Not temperature

Humans take for granted that this rock with organic life is and always will be fine. Ad that's true. It'll be fine. But humans won't be able live here if we keep destroying it

Take breathing as an example. We do it subconsciously. But we are lucky as hell that the atmosphere has proper mix of elements and compounds.

Kill the plankton, and we are fooked.

Well climate is just temperature over longer periods of time, isn't it? So it all comes back to temperature.

I don't think luck has anything to do with it, human beings just adapt, and if we have to live in Water World and filter our own pee to drink, we'll get by.

No, temperature is simply one parameter of climate.

I think it's just good practice to try and have as small environmental impact as possible.

Whatever they need to include to scare you into buying whatever shit the climate changers are selling at the time.

Remember 3 years ago when global warming was all the rage, then they couldnt tell you the correct temperature tomorrow, much less in 50 years, so they changed the narrative to climate change.

I think the only correct answer in this thread so far has been from Banchan @Banchan .

I got to meet the great David Suzuki and gave him a ride back to his hotel. He told me that we can't stop climate change anymore, it's too late. Very dramatic stuff. And this was back in 2014, so lots of car exhaust and cow farts since then.

Well considering that we had Glaciers as far south as Middle America its safe to say we have had global warming for many many years without the help of people.

It just seems like something the earth just fuckin does. Just changing its mood around every couple of seconds like a broad. And yeah what do these CC pushes want, cunty glaciers everywhere again?

I think humans have had some impact but how much is very speculative. As with anything else the truth probably lies in the middle but there is too much money involved for either side to admit this.

Humidity, stuff like that, realistically there are too many to list, what the important ones are is what climate research is trying to figure out. Temperature is one and with everything else constant an increase of temperature results in "the day after tomorrow" type scenarios..

^^ That's Part 2 of a series... (Part 1 is great too)

But this video posted above documents the bizarre history of how the beginnings and most powerful movers in the 'Environmentalist' movement over the past bunch of decades were/are in fact totally creations of the same Oil Oligarchy. Some fascinating stuff especially if you're Canadian, some serious dirt on guys like Maurice Strong etc how it was all totally funded by Rockefellers/Royal Families/Rothschilds

What we think is opposition to Big Oil is being funded and directed by Big Oil. Wrap your head around that, lol

Not all scientists will be in on a giant conspiracy. There is likely some truth but I won't believe stuff on someone's word alone. I want to understand it so that I can make up my own mind.

As I understand it, carbon dioxide has been demonstrated to act as a greenhouse gas. It has also been demonstrated that carbon dioxide levels have increased dramatically in the last hundred years or so. So there is at least SOME level of climate change.

However, temperature changes haven't been that dramatic. And carbon dioxide levels have been VASTLY higher in the past. So these claims that it's already too late and the climate change is irreversible sound like fear mongering to me.

Be careful with that conspiracy movie. It is extremely one sided......it’s not going to blow your mind

I don't think it's complete bullshit, but when folks start regulating processes, procedures and products - and those same folks are making millions and millions of dollars from those changes - I do look at the story that is being sold to the public with a bit of skepticism. I also tend to question the ridiculous predictions, many of which have already proven to be false.

The scare tactics need to stop.

All that said, I think it's a good thing to give a hoot and don't pollute.
