He's an idiot and waited way too long to start. He's doing a weight lifting competition on Saturday afternoon and has weighing tomorrow. Any advice?

So he's going to start cutting 5 lbs. now, weigh in on Friday, and compete on Saturday? Should be no problem.

Or has he already started his cut and needs to cut 5 more pounds?

He's been watching his diet but has no clue how to shed the last 5.

If he hasn't started dehydrating himself at all, then he should be able to do 5 lbs. easy via standard dehydration. Tiny wrestlers can cut that much and MMA fighters routinely cut a lot more than that in 24 hours.

If he's still 5 lbs. over this afternoon, he should stop eating and drinking, take a hot bath, get a good night's sleep, wake up in the morning, and take a shit.

eat at least a dozen prunes and drink a gallon of orange juice(not from concentrate). I'd stay away from food(esp. mexican and thai) until after weigh-in. I'd go for an easy jog in the morn. with a suit for cutting weight and an easy sauna session. probably a good idea to be near a toilet or wear a combat depends undergarment in the initial stages.

Hot bath until it's off. Wouldn't want to do more than 3lbs though. Rehydrate with water until pissing, then add electrolytes and carb drink until pissing clear. Then eat.
