John Lineker pulled out of UFC Fight Night 83 due to dengue fever, and the promotion called on another Brazilian to face Cody Garbrandt on Sunday night.

"No Love" will now take on multiple-time jiu-jitsu world champion Augusto Mendes at Pittsburgh’s Consol Energy Center, sources told MMAFighting.com. Combate first reported the news.

Mendes was scheduled to fight for the Legacy FC title when he got a call from the UFC to replace injured Jimy Hettes against Charles Rosa in January, but he pulled out hours later due to a rib injury. The Brazilian grappler is 5-0 in MMA with four submission victories.

Yea that's a big "IF" tho. Garbrandt has a wrestling background and TAM has always had good takedown defense. I feel this fight stays on the feet and Garbrandt lights him up. Either Mendes' chin holds up and Garbrandts get the decision or he gets tko'd.
