Say what you will about Conor McGregor’s antics outside of the Octagon, and the ways in which he sells his fights, but “The Notorious” has never shied away from charitable donations.
The latest donation has come a week away from his all-encompassing lightweight title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov. According to the mother of sick child, Bru McCullough, the Dubliner paid the entire €10,000 that she appealed for after opening a GoFundMe account to fund the Irish boy’s private medical costs.
Grainne McCullough reached out to McGregor via Twitter, thanking him for his kind donation.
Despite McGregor covering the full extent of the appeal for funds, the donations have continued to come in, with the figure now being on the cusp of reaching €15,000.
Earlier this year, the Irishman was honored at the 7th Annual Best of Ireland Gala in New York City for his charitable work with Dublin Children’s Hospital, which is situated in his hometown of Crumlin. Back in 2015, he donated €50,000 to the homeless crisis in Ireland.
