Hard to verify if somebody is feeding you bullshit.

I know they vet the people heavily, but the content is where they could get caught up.

Would basically require a mole to infiltrate their operation, which I am sure is a goal and certainly a possibility.

That is just how my mind works though, gotta think of all possibilities and outcomes.

That guy really hated being duped, probably because he now thinks the guy he was trying to fuck with was a straight guy playing him for the story due to his job...AKA he realized he is a super easy mark
