How can you say its the same shit? RT clearly has a different narrative/perspective on geo-politics and world events, this should be clear.Slanted is slanted, m8. It's not better than CNN or Fox News, it's the same shit except it's financed directly by the Russian government.
Prob not. Like I said, it doesn't matter if "our guy" gets in. External play taints him no matter how good he is by whatever metric you measure that. The classic classist revolution, hispanic nationalist calls, and yes, often race, are all at play here like other socialist movements seen in Latin American over the last 100 years. I remember in the early 2000's the race based campaigning by Chavez and his opposition with people calling Chavez supporters monkeys from the barrio. Race has often been there but its just as much a long immoral history of race repression that created the conditions for Chavez to entice that group. They can hold a hundred elections if they want to and there still won't be enough white voters to swing it bqck to the right. The mestizos are just more numerous in Venezuela and they are politically awake now.
I hate to boil it down to race, but that is just basically how it breaks down in that society.
Again, slanted news is slanted news. How can you say its the same shit?
So the solution to cleaning the shit off the wall is to throw more shit at it?has the potential to snap people out of the binary paradigm, and hopefully opens doors to further perspectives which I always think is healthy to even try to start understanding anything.
Sanctions have been fairly effective in weakening the already less than Chavez-like appeal of Maduro but not enough to swing it back in favor of the traditional minority ruling class candidate imho. I remember being struck by the completely Caucasian composition of the anti Chavez protesters the first time I saw them in the street, there is just no sweeping that under the rug. It's there.Prob not. Still, with the economy crashing and shortages, the traditional poor (and mestizo) areas of support for Chavez are not as enamored with Maduro. Maduro hasn't delivered the good and he isn't nearly as charismatic.
'splain me 'the real world' then.Again, slanted news is slanted news.
So the solution to cleaning the shit off the wall is to throw more shit at it?
I'm not trying to be cheeky. I get your perspective, it's just not how things actually work in the real world.
She left years ago.plus they produced Abby Martin who I have a tinfoil crush on.
I had a married friend that was married to a lady who’s family was very well off. He had a business and was a very hard worker so not a freeloader. In the Bush years he had a GF on the side. A hot little Cuban. During the week he would take her to Mexico early morning. Fly to Cuba with her from Mexico so she could see her family and make it back to Boca for dinner with his wife. I never understood how he did it (passport thing) but he did. Cuba libre (sp)
I was befuddled about why Bolton went on TV to talk about how three top confidantes to Maduro had agreed to oust him from power. And then Pompeo saying that Maduro had planned to leave to Cuba in the morning but was convinced by Russia to stay.Gotta love how stupid Trump, John Bolton and Pompeo are. Bolton in particular is a fucking moron - people focus on the 'evil' part and forget how often he fucks up.
If you are trying to initiate a coup, you don't plaster yourself all over TV and Twitter as being blatantly responsible for it. That doesn't go down well with the targeted population
The Russia line is an excuse for failure and to keep the pressure on.I was befuddled about why Bolton went on TV to talk about how three top confidantes to Maduro had agreed to oust him from power. And then Pompeo saying that Maduro had planned to leave to Cuba in the morning but was convinced by Russia to stay.
I don't know if this is just a really shitty strategy or a lack of strategy entirely.
It'll be interesting to see how this all turns out.
