The claim is that the IV masks detection of other drugs. A doctor supervised one will still do that. However, the rule states "...except for those legitimately received in the course of hospital admissions, surgical procedures or clinical investigations, without an approved Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE)."
The UFC has already mentioned that if Khabib would have come to the UFC about his issues, they would have been able to clear it, but since he didn't he fucked himself.

They'll let you under their supervision and it there is a significant risk by not allowing it.....all depends on the reason and under their supervision.......they can then decide whether or not to let you fight
