The UFC president promises that the $4 billion UFC sale will only help to grow the sport even further and bring more advantages for fighters.

The monumental $4 billion sale of the UFC to an investor group led by WME | IMG is a done deal. Some pundits fear that it won't do any good for the fighters, but Dana White has now tried to dispel those doubts in a recent interview with TMZ.com.

The UFC president promised that under new ownership, fighters will earn more money and receive more opportunities outside of the cage.

"One of the things that we have always done since the day we have bought this company is we have taken this to the next level. I didn't sleep too well last night. I was reading a lot of stuff and watching a lot of stuff, and obviously there was a lot of positive. But…

The UFC smashed and grabbed for over a decade before finding a pot gold at the end of the rainbow. Meanwhile, fighters continue to sign 8 fight contracts with lots of small print instead of zeros.

See I don't get this, did tbr ufc make a fuck ton money, hell yes. They also lost a ton at the beginning as well. Not that justifies it but it should be at least recognized. Despite making a ton of money. Zuffa has done more for this sport then any other promotion ever. They have expanded, got it regulated, put on the best high level fights, taken it to heights never before seen. Heights they have not been able to be remotely touched by any other promotion. There's a reason for they. They did a fuck ton right. Chalk that up to luck if you want. But taking a 2 million dollar investment and turning it into 4 billion in 15 years is insane. Despite losing tens of millions of dollars, it's gone from banned on ppv to everywhere in the world. Under zuffa's watch. They may or chased out. But they gave a fuck ton as well.

The so called tens of million of dollars that they lost in the beginning, although it may be fact, is also a myth often repeated by Dana and the Fertittas to justify its shady business practices in the decade that followed. Remember when they banned everyone associated with AKA because a couple of guys refused to sign a contract that gave the UFC rights to their likeness in perpetuity? My smash and grab comment was directed at the 80/20 profit splits and the tens of millions of dollars they made by banning sponsors and signing television deals that the fighters never see a dime of. I'm not saying that their incredible come up was based solely on luck, I'm saying that it's lucky for them that karma doesn't exist.

P.S. Did they contribute greatly to the growth of MMA as a sport? Of course. Were they rewarded for that? Clearly.

Well thank God. I was just saying the other day that what's missing in MMA is shitty B movies showcasing why they became fighters in the first place....
