It's interesting that a 42-year-old man who's fought MMA once in 7 years - and pissed hot after that fight - still makes MMA's dick harder than a teenage boy who's popped 3 viagras.

1) Everyone in MMA pisses hot sooner or later.
2) Low fight miles.

I think because it's the real life version of a "who would win between Godzilla vs Superman?" scenario. A hypothetical fight between (an accredited collegiate) professional wrestler and a MMA fighter..... I know Brock has his credit as a MMA champ, but it's still "pro wrasslin'" vs "real fighting" to many.

I think what they're doing to the HW division is ridiculous.... Stipe should have gotten a rematch. That said, it's a business to put on the biggest fights, and even though Stipe has beaten both JDS and Ngannou, he's been the "least active" of that trio, so here's how I'd book HW....

Brock vs DC (I think DC gets this one)
Ngannou vs JDS (Number 1 contender, and I think JDS may pull off the upset here)
Stipe vs JBJ for his HW debut (winner fights the Brock/DC-Ngannou/JDS winner for the title)
Oleinik vs Overeem (meh, should have been Cain, that ship may have sailed)
Lewis vs Cain (probably the last winnable fight for Cain)
Blaydes vs Volkov (a big win from either can throw them into the title picture with as thin and injury prone HW is).
Quality shit right there.

I don't k kw that being knock out in the first round deserved a rematch, but ufc has certainly set these types of rematches up in the past. Since it wasn't an immediate rematch, one would think stipe needs one fight with a win to challenge for the title, no? He hasn't had a fight since the loss though.

Brock will beat DC. He will grab the belt then burn down the house with the mic. Hell, he may even slam Dana through a table in the way out. He will claim to be the best ever then head back rib WWE to make the real money. DC’s legendary career will end on a loss to a part time fighter who pretends for a living.

In many cases it is a puncher’s chance... here it is a bum rusher’s chance. DC is better in every aspect of MMA, but anything can happen in a fight, especially when one of the guys has canned hams for fists. I just really hope Brock is there to try and win, not just get paid.

Are you sure DC has better wrestling than a guy that's massively bigger than he is?

yeah, from what I recall, an ancient Randy had pretty well turned the tide of their fight after the initial onslaught, then got clipped behind the ear by a punch he’d pretty much slipped. That’s what could happen when one of the fighters has hands the size of Butterball turkeys.

and how do you arrive at this conclusion?
To start being massively bigger doesn't mean your wrestling is better. We saw Randy control Lesnar for some time in their fight which was impressive for a guy a decade older and around 40lbs lighter. Cain popped right back up before Brock could get control and hold him there. Lesnar got one TD and that lasted about 3 seconds. We've seen what Brock does once he's on his back thanks to Carwin, turtle and wait. Brocks TD accuracy is 55% which is decent but DCs TDD is an impressive 78%. Looking at thier accomplishments in wrestling DCs is about 3X as long. DC is also much better at mixing up his wrestling in MMA. His speed and power make his wrestling much more dangerous.

How? By being the superior MMA fighter.

Wrestling will negate itself. DC has great Wrestling no slouch. DC has better stand up. DC is tougher. DC has more experience. DC reacts to punches better. 9x out of 10 I'd say DC takes this fight. He simply has more tools to win. Can Brock land something crazy on a 40yr old Cormier? Sure... everyone has a puncher's chance especially when you are 300lbs lol.

But where is Brock better than DC? Think about what Cain did to Brock. Very similar to that except Brock may go to sleep as opposed to TKO.

Maybe.

or maybe he gets in a clinch with DC like he did Hunt, tosses him to the ground and beats the fuck out of him. Cain might've popped right back up, Cain's also a bigger version of DC. DC's consciousness didn't want anything to do with Jon Jones knees it's a fair guess it'll want just as little to do with Brock's hickory hams. Either way, I do think it makes for an interesting fight and I'm surprised at how many people are writing it off as a cakewalk. DC does know a thing, or 30, about cake though.

Hunt has no Wrestling. He isn't tossing DC around like that lol. As far as Cain being bigger, DC is a tank, has never lost a fight at HW and just tosses BIG dudes like that are bags of leaves in the Fall (Barnett for example). He will do just fine as far as not being man handled, and a lot of that has to do with technique and knowing how to use his body/leverage. Again mega experienced Olympic caliber Wrestler.

Jon Jones is JJ... he may be the GOAT. Brock fights NOTHING like him. But yeah Brock is a 300lb behemoth... can't count him out COMPLETELY. He has a 10% chance lol.

But where is Brock better than DC?
Good ol' fashioned blunt force trauma.

I agree the wrestling likely negates itself, I don't think either of them are going to want to be exchanging shots in the clinch, but I do think the edge in that goes with the giant. So what do you end up with? More than likely a fight that looks a lot like DC/JBJ 1 with DC this time having the speed advantage. Does he win that fight? Probably, but people comparing pre-USADA, pre-47 knee and back surgeries Cain with 2019 40 year old DC isn't exactly a tenable position.
