UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his title against Brazil's Wilson Reis, in the co-main event of UFC 201: Lawler vs. Woodley.

For those wondering whether or not Demetrious Johnson would be shelved until December, at which point he'd fight the TUF 24 flyweight tournament winner, you have your answer. The UFC's reigning flyweight champion will defend his title against Wilson Reis at UFC 201 on July 30th. UFC Tonight's Megan Olivi broke the news on Wednesday's episode.

Johnson (24-2-1) quickly destroyed the previously unbeaten Henry Cejudo in the co-main event of last month's UFC 197 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mighty Mouse has a 10-0-1 record at 125 lbs, and is a perfect 8-0 in defenses of his title. He's finished 5 of his last 7 foes en route to #2 pound-for-pound…

Honestly just make DJ/Benavidez III already

This fight is a joke

*Edit*
Also, why are they putting this on a PPV?

No disrespect, but not that many people are buying to see Mighty Mouse or whoever it is Mighty Mouse is going to fuck up

Put Demetrious on Big Fox or FS1 Fight Night Cards

DJ is just THAT good. They need to figure something out because he could do undefeated for the next 7-8 years.
He just needs to fight name guys like Faber Cruz Dillashaw. Nobody has heard of these guys he is fighting at the moment.

I HOPE HE DOES. I can't get enough of watching him. I don't give a shit who he fights. That performance against Cejudo might be one of the best we've ever seen. He is just so clean, fluid and efficient.

Holy shit I dont think I could come up with a more boring fight than this.

Im going to have to beer bong a 6 pack of Red Bull to make it through this one.

Hopefully this ends early. If it goes the distance, this could set MMA way way back

Yeah, I used to not be much of a fan but I've jumped on the train in the past year. The dude is just so good.

Strange match-up, but what the hell, he deserves a payday. He has grown on me lately, like others have said.

He is going for Anderson's record, and I imagine he may move up after he gets it. Cause he will get it.

Funny thing is, he was getting his ass handed to him by Ian McCall - in what I believe was the first title fight - before McCall coasted and lost............

does lineker really have that much trouble getting to 125, I would be interested in that fight before most of the other potential matchups

I don't think DJ should move up, theres weight classes for a reason. Why should he have to prove himself against bigger guys when he's dominating at his own weight?

It surprises me that someone who is the best fighter anywhere (technically speaking) is so rejected by the fans. Boring or not, that guy is a master of his craft and no one had ever come close to the consistency in his game. DJ is hands down a contender for the (ambiguous) p4p title and it's impossible to argue against that. He beats these lesser folks because he's already run through the entire division almost twice (three times in some cases). Let the dude get another payday before the TUF thing is all sorted out.

no, he was on top of DJ doing damage in that 2nd round but the judges fked it up and gave both rounds to DJ, and by the time they noticed the error and that it should have gone to a 3rd round, it was too late, which is why they rematched.
