He should work on edson barboza spin kicks.

Doesn't need to get it to the ground once he can time those bad boys

I mean a lot of legit wrestlers in the UFC don't have the greatest TDA either, Frankie sits around 35.4% but then other guys like GSP are at 73.7% and MM at 54.9%, along with Hendricks at 51.7% and Jones at exactly 50%.

Covington looked so bad in that fight. His punches almost looked like they were in Slo-mo. Damien worked him in the stand up in the beginning.

I agree, mostly because he's nearing 40 and I don't want him to take damage. I'd love to see him get in on the 2019 ADCC trials, and definitely some F2W Pro's or Polaris events. EBI I'm not so keen on because I know that he's not a guard puller or leg lock guy (not that either are out of his scope of possibilities), so I'd rather he do tournaments now that he can showcase his game rather than just be a big name for Gordon or Garry to leg lock.

Seeing Maia in ADCC would be incredible. Totally where he needs to go

Do you think he could beat Paul Harris at grappling?

Yes, Demian is definitely a better jiu jitsu practitioner, however both are skilled and anything can happen. Thing is, Rousimar is such a nut job, I don't think anyone will grapple him LOL..... I would grapple any and everyone, I don't care if I get tapped by someone, but there isn't enough money in the world I'd take to get a limb snapped to the point of not working correctly ever again in life in grappling Rousimar... He's just not stable.

Was it Hector Lombard who broke someone's leg and climbed out the window? They should make him and Harris face each other

He broke my buddy Ruben Alvarez's leg years back (Ruben is a killer in the No Gi sub only scene these days, great leg lock guy, under the DeBlass team).... Video is on YouTube..... Watch at your own risk LOL

Fuck that I can't watch stuff like that it scares me. I read about it tho. Did his leg heal up good?

Combat JJ is the future, the leg lock game will be lessened because of strikes.

Oh yeah, he's competed at top events since then, he's done EBI, Kakuto Challenge, and other events where he's been a super fight.

It's an interesting concept, but the more it will evolve, the more I fear it will become Ammy MMA, and in any BJJ exchange where strikes are a threat, if you go for a leg attack, you deserve to get KOed LOL.

I use to love leg locks, but nowadays I see gyms and guys ONLY attack leg locks, and don't try for anything else.... No one tries to pass the guard (just drop back for leg locks), no one works takedowns (just guard pulls, butt scoots, and entries into leg attacks). I want to see great ALL AROUND Gi and No Gi Jiu Jitsu (it's why I personally like the ADCC rules the most)

If he hasn't developed the striking and takedowns by now, he likely won't. He's an amazing grappler. I'd like to see him compete more there.

Demian has already accomplished everything he needs to in BJJ. Already is an adcc champ among other things. If he retires anytime soon, he should just chill on a beach for a few years. Leave all this stuff to the kids and maybe become a BJJ consultant to the next generation.

I get that, but I would love to see him come back ala Roger, go out and beat the current stock of guys with his BJJ style. The fact that he's fighting still shows that he has the competitive spirit in him, so rather than end up punch drunk at the end of his career, go out and tap the world.

Personally, I have more interest in seeing him face the likes of the -88kg or -77kg divisions (multiple great matches in both) than I do in watching him fight the #6 through #10 WW's in the UFC (the UFC would be using him as a gatekeeper against those guys). Granted, financially it would be better for him to do MMA (which sucks), but I'd rather see him not take the punishment.

This isn't a bad idea either.

I like this idea the most, I'm sick of feeling bad for him.
