“The Black Beast” is getting a big fight next.

After headlining his first UFC card on Dec. 9, rising heavyweight Derrick Lewis is set to take on Travis Browne at Brooklyn’s UFC 208 on Feb. 11, MMA Fighting confirmed following a report by ESPN.

Lewis (17-4, 1 no contest) had to dig deep to defeat Shamil Abdurahimov via fourth-round TKO at UFC Fight Night 102, scoring his fifth straight victory under the UFC banner.

If you are training with Edmond (wanna be boxing coach) , 80% chance you are gonna get knocked out..
If Travis loses I hope UFC cuts him

Seriously does anyone remember when Travis (when he was at Jackson's) use to be a fan fav up and coming HW? I remember Rockhold and Travis doing the Q&A at the MGM Grand in Vegas before weigh ins and the crowd was all pumped for Travis and liking him a lot. Remember the Happa that use to use nasty elbows in the clinch and was putting guys to sleep with them? Then one loss against Wedum and he leaves jackson for greener pastures. Sure do wish he'd of left Count Choculas after one loss too.

Since The Count Chocula pretty much only trains his fighters in boxing, Lewis should be able to get Travis down and do his thang...

Thread title is inaccurate. Should read:

Derrick Lewis beats Travis Browne at UFC 208.

Subline: Edmond Tarverdyan assults Big John after the fight screaming about another early stoppage for his fighters, gets choke slammed through the canvas.

Travis was over hyped early on due to the shallowness of the HW division. His comeback win over The Reem was impressive because he sustained suck a beating and showed great heart, but otherwise meh. That said, I would love to see him knock DL's head into the cheap seats. That guy drives me crazy.

That's gotta be Calo running that account.
