I know others just hate religion, but I always thought the angel tree idea was cool.

Gifts are given to kids on behalf of incarcerated parents in an attempt to make the kids feel loved and promote a positivity and rebuilding of the parent/child relationship. Kids don't have to suffer and feel left out for their parents mistakes.
The organization is Christian based but isn't out their prosletyzing to 8 year olds. They just give kids toys from a parent that fucked up.

It's great they are doing this I hope the video is real and genuine. Few red flags in the video but I don't want to focus on that. I always try to donate to kids when possible because they have very little choice in their life. They don't get to choose their parents or their living situations. I also check out charity reviews and how much they pay the top dogs of the company. Some non-profits are in it for the money and pay the people at the top 6 figures + sadly.
