Counting from when he came back, he fought Horcher, MJ, Barboza, and then beat Al Iaquinta, the 11th ranked guy, for the title.

With all respect to MJ, who I enjoy watching, he has always been in more of a gate keeper role. Barboza is a talented striker but we've seen him get beaten by guys like Ferguson, Cowboy and even MJ. And Al Iaquinta has power for sure but is hardly what people would consider championship level, at least at this juncture.

Now I understand this path was not Khabib's fault and simply caused by measures beyond his control, but still... doesn't it sound pretty funny that a guy captured a world title beating Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza and Al Iaquinta?

And people questioned the legitimacy of Conor's championship... Hell last time I checked he KTFO actual champs for his belts...

Conor: 2 belts from legit champs, 8 minutes and 17 seconds (total)

Khabib: 1 belt from the #11 guy, 25 minutes

after multiple opponent changes, still, Khabib beat a full-camp opponent on 1 day notice. Conor got choked the shit out by an opponent who was partying in Cabo, but still had 10 days notice.

But wasn't it because Conor refused to defend the belt that all these cluster fuck of situation started happening?

Randy Couture won a world title coming off a loss and over a year of inactivity. He beat a dude no better than #4 or #5 in the world, in a much shallower division than 155. Oh and it, too, went the distance. He's also not the first UFC Champion to win a title coming off a loss. So no, not even close. Hell even just in the WME era, would you say Germaine de Randamie had a more difficult path than Khabib.

Anyway like most Champions who lose a title, Conor McGregor has only himself to blame. It's not like he was injured, he just refused to defend then went on a cocaine-fueled rampage and injured a bunch of people. The dude is Jon Jones Jr. and he lost to himself.

Nobody good is getting pissed off, I can assure you.

So you guys saying I'm trolling: Horcher, MJ, Barbosa and Iaquinta sounds like a tough, legit path to the title? Just tell me yes.

Yes. MJ on the way out for sure, but Barboza is legit. Al is legit too. The hardest path? No. Legitimate? Only not legitimate because Tony was discriminated against to hold up a shady deal with Khabib to fight for a title.

McGregor should have been stripped for endangering other fighters outside the cage, Tony should be the champ (wasn't Robert Whitaker made champ when he was injured?) and Khabib should be the interim champ. The end. I like Khabib, but he sat out injured for a long time, then failed to make weight. I won't hold it against him forever, but Khabib does not deserve that belt more than Tony. I have heard, and it makes sense, that it's all just about keeping Khabib from pulling a Minakov.

I do respect him for his willingness to fight anyone, though. It's my favorite thing about the best champs and one of TJ Dillashaw's few redeeming qualities. But Tony has shown that he is also willing to take short notice opponents as long as there's no pay cut - and Khabib held a title belt hostage with his business deal, so he is not better than Tony that way either. Imo, of course.

Nice to see a real MMA fan who can actually use his brain, instead of getting triggered and crying "troll" when someone has a different point of view. Good answer!

lol @ "worse troll"

You got tooled in a gun debate with me, you got tooled in the Conor/Khabib debate, now you're following me around like a puppy dog.

Seems like you're the troll!

I bet if you ask the forum they will disagree with you

If you have the guts make a thread with a poll option on who the better poster is,

I dare you

Oh, and you are a troll

Sorry but my likes-to-post ratio is 1.8, almost double the likes per post.

You on the other hand have a 0.87, which means you have more posts than like points.

So the forum has already decided which of us is the stronger poster.

You're a disgrace to the First 100 club.

I'm sorry but the stats don't lie.

Your posts have not even broken even in terms of likes given. Mine have been quite fruitful!
