If you look at this run he is on, it's impressive. He beat Cerrone, finished Benson Henderson and mauled Nate Diaz. Does he have a shot at beating Pettis or am I just buying what the UFC is selling?

I don't think he does. His plan is to stand up with Pettis. When was the last time that seemed like good advice? He also thinks pressing Pettis the entire time is the key to his success, but I believe Duke Roufus and the rest of his fight camp do a great job preparing Showtime for his given opponent.

I think RDA is solid as F. A very, very good fighter. I loved the way he was striking v. Diaz. I just think that Pettis is in that elite tier and progresses so much between each fight its hard for any of of on the outside to even track it. He's already a clear 'blackbelt' MMA striker, an obious MMABJJ 'blackbelt.' How much wrestling has he picked up off Askren by now? He's been wrecking the #1 contenders in ways nobody expected.

RDA should have finished Diaz. Pettis most CERTAINLY would have

RDA is very impressive, if he comes with a great gameplan and can implement it, he should be able to cause Pettis some major issues. No one is unbeatable, RDA has all the tools and physical gifts to take Pettis the distance. I hope so anyway.

And let's not forget RDA has Cordeiro in his corner, if a guy can formulate a strategy to take Pettis out, it's him.

I think Pettis finishes RDA at some point. Anthony is just rounding into a machine.

You're buying into the hype.

Truth is-Yes RDA beat Nick, yes he beat Cerrrone, yes he finished Bendo, but....
Nick wasn't 100%, Cerrone was a legit win, imo his most impressive. and Bendo was also a good win but bad style match up(similar to Cerrone).

Pettis is at his absolute peak right now, and before 2014 Pettis was already considered a top 3 striker in all of mma, and now he's tapping Melendez and Benson. RDA wins just in signing up to fight.

Yea, 5 rounds is a long time to be in there with Pettis. He has 25 minutes to hit him with something on the feet or lock in a sub.
