More bad news for UFC 214, as exciting Korean featherweight prospect Doo Ho Choi has been pulled from the card due to a serious back injury that is expected to keep him sidelined until late October. Robin Black reported the news on Wednesday. Choi was scheduled to fight Andre Fili on the July 29th event in Anaheim, California.

This story follows the removal of Chan Sung Jung from his fight against Ricardo Lamas on the same card, with “The Korean Zombie” expected to be out long-term due to a ruptured ACL and MCL.

On the one hand, this sucks.

On the other, it's probably a good thing for him to have even more time out of the cage.

So true.... It's hard because as fans we want to see our favorite fighters, but if we do want to see them for many years down the line, we cannot watch them take vicious beatings and then expect them right back in the cage. The issue is fighter pay to ensure that they make enough and don't HAVE to fight and get freakin CTE because they're so broke

:( I was looking forward to seeing him again. But agreed with above. He took one hell of beating from Cub so maybe it's best heals completely from that and this injury.

Not every could or should pull a Cowboy and fight every weekend.
