BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -
A Beaverton Police Officer was going east on Canyon Road when a westbound vehicle turned left and crashed into the patrol car, according to the Beaverton Police Department.
Officials say the accident occurred around 12:30 Saturday morning.
According to the release, the officer had a green light, and the suspect had a flashing yellow turn arrow when the accident occurred.
Police say after the accident, the suspect fled south and was last seen heading west on Farmington Road around Highway 217.
The suspect or vehicle has not been found.
The vehicle is described as a dark Honda Accord with extensive front end damage, which may include a broken or missing headlight.
Flames could possibly be painted on the side of the vehicle as well, according to police.
The officer was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injures, and was later released.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
