EA Sports issued an apology to Khabib Nurmagomedov this week after the UFC lightweight contender brought attention to an erroneous Christian celebration his character makes in the newest UFC video game, EA Sports UFC 2.

Nurmagomedov, a devout Muslim, posted the response from EA Sports to his Instagram account with the following message attached.

"I'm Muslim, Alhamdulilah. I have nothing against Christians," Nurmagomedov wrote. "Every man in this life has his own way, and my way is Islam. Developers of the game made mistake. Let's be honest, every human being made mistakes, and I'm not holding a grudge. They apologized and promised to fix it. Hopefully, next time they wouldn't make mistakes like this, and take account everybody's religion."

In the game, Nurmagomedov -- similar to most characters -- gestures in the symbol of a cross upon the announcement of a victory.

The undefeated Dagestani first brought the issue to light last week, asking that EA Sports "edit" his post-fight celebration.

Fair enough. Both sides showed respect and restraint. Good response by Mr. Nurmagomedov.

Imagine if every disagreement could be handled so amicably?

"Hey, you made a mistake there."

"You're right, I did. Sorry about that; I'll fix it right away."

"Cool.Thanks."

Man Khabib hasn't fought in forever. Can't wait for his return. 22-0, really intriguing to see how the layoff, injuries and the natural progression of MMA effects his success in the cage. I think he will do well, since they do lots of hard sparring at AKA. At the same time will he get injured again? Who knows at this point. I think another injury would just be almost too devastating to come back from.

Huge Khabib fan. Everyone he dislikes he calls a "bullshit guy" and I think that's hilarious, especially in his accent.
