Luke is a toolbag.
But ... I am curious to hear what other options he feels fighters should/could have.

Luke Thomas, like me, essentially just wants fighters to be allowed to dope.

Unlike me, instead of just saying this, he's come up with this bullshit argument about 'fighter rights' that is about as convincing as the 'Civil War was about State's rights, not slavery' argument that he ripped this BS logic from.

Yes, the NFL and other organizations give their athletes more doping 'rights', which is to say that they allow all their players to juice to the gills.

I don't think USADA solves the issue at all, and is far more shady than people think, but if you are going to even try to stamp out roids, then the USADA menthod is a bare minimum. It needs to be draconian. And there is little doubt that it works better than systems that don't even pretend to try.

USADA goes way too far with it. Waking fighters up at 5 in the morning, grabbing Mighty Mouse in a store while he's shopping with his wife, making fighters declare their whereabouts like they're sex offenders... not worth it.

In regular life, we have a balance between privacy and security. With USADA, there's absolutely no balance: they can do what they want, when they want. Holly Holm has like 6 fights under USADA and she's been tested 35 times. Seriously?

Couldn't disagree more with this.

You sign up for this life. Blame the people who dope not the ones that don't.

If people could be trusted you wouldn't need to try and catch them out

Fighters are unreliable when it comes to talking about PEDs, none of them juice or have ever juiced in their lives.... if you take their word for it. Impossible to have a real debate.

Besides that, anti-doping doesn't work, only exists to give the illusion of a clean sport. Less than 3% of dopers are caught.

Tennis anti doping doesn't get near cycling. If anything its in the category of could try harder.

Football (soccer) is the one of the biggest offenders
Tennis 'anti doping' is even worse than cycling. Cycling stars have been busted at least, Tennis has gotten away with it's dodgy TUEs, 'silent bans' and general fuck all testing.

he's saying that the fighters should have a union negotiating these things. But in a way that doesn't piss off UFC and affect his access.

That's because USADA, like anyone with eyes and basic common sense, knows that Holly is on even more juice than Cyborg. Well played by her to get away with it though.

Luke is right. A lack of arbitration procedures allows fighters to be separated from pay because they're contingent laborers. The process should be mapped by fighters and promoters together not arbitrarily applied through sanctioning bodies and the employer.

Luke is supporting SOME fighters, not Eddie & other like-minded fighters.

Luke said fighters should have a voice on this matter.
Eddie expressed his voice! But Luke's not listening. He tried to bait Eddie into going on his show to elaborate.
