Im a huge fan of both guys and i have always said i thought they were always number 1&2 in terms of being the best in the world. Pettis is def the guy now, im shocked Eddie didnt beat Cerrone but he didnt look like himself in that fight either.

+1 I think Eddie comes back looking much better and more comfortable in the octagon this time. I still think Gil might be just a bit too much, but I wouldn't be shocked regardless of who won.

I had Eddie at the top of a 12 fight accumulator on that card. Was doubly upset when he lost because I really wanted him to win and make an impression on the division. He is a fucking warrior , the Huerta fight and the first Chandler fight were brilliant.

Cerrone was on a tear and still is since then but really that lead leg knee he kept catching Eddie coming in with just fucked him up and stopped him getting his boxing going.

Beating Gil gets him right back on track IMO, can't wait to see this scrap.
