Reward is up to 25k & bounty hunters have entered the chat.

Sunday my kid came over to mow the lawn & pay off some debt.

She said
**** "Guess what? I just came through & a mile up the cops had a checkpoint And try to make me show them what was in my trunk. I was like hell no you don't have reasonable suspicion and under fourth amendment rights Without a warrant and no reasonable suspicion that the escaped inmate is in my trunk I can sue you for unlawful detainer.
So they detained me for like 10 minutes while they were looking for a supervisor.
I said lady am I free to leave I've got things to do and if you hold me I'm gonna sue all of you.
She said yes you can go so I left."
I was like wow kid, I've had to go through that checkpoint and let them look every time no problem.
She said, "That's not the point this is the law, I didn't fuck up and let hum out & he sure the fuck aint in my back seat or in my trunk".

So of course, 10 minutes later, State police, US Marshalls, county & fish & wildlife rip into my driveway ready to pull. 7 units in total.
I begin talking to them And I'm ready to de-escalate, My daughter comes out the other side of the house, And a young tac guy all geared up with AR15 out comes over and grabs her arm and all hell almost broke loose.
Everybody carries so tense situation. Lots of arguing going on but the supervisor was on his way and came in shortly.
She recorded the whole thing which was several minutes and in the end we were able to come to an agreement to check her trunk Under threat of search warrant and tow the vehicle, and they were on their way.
I'm sure she's going to send the video to audit the audit
But me and the sergeant were able to bring everybody's tensions down.
I told my daughter of course that she was in the right but you have to pick your battle.
Number one no judge on planet Earth is not going to sign off on the search warrant, And no jury on earth is going to rule against the departments to be sued with an escaped murderer on the loose, exegent circumstances.
Also she had bad tabs, no car insurance, and no state ID, so I told her when she picks her battle she better make d*** sure they have absolutely nothing on her so her life isn't a living hell while she's waiting To lose a court case years down the road.

So we're now "those people".
I escaped to the ozarks to get away from that, my kid shows up and makes me that, again.
But because of it we blew off fireworks later on and they didn't do anything about it.

It might be a fine line, but you need to weigh when and which rights you might want to relax. In a situation like that, it's perfectly fine to let them look as a method of assisting them in getting the whole investigation moving forward. A better example, a kid goes missing in the neighborhood and a cop comes to talk to me, I'm not going to stay locked in the house and make them waste resources and time trying to figure out if I have that kid, I want the kid found and would be helping as much as I could.

Exactly.
I tried explaining to her with those guys here, that's seven less units out there looking for the bad guy.
But, she is right, and her argument is necessary.
For all we know the new warden who is a piece of s*** just let the guy out and is working with elements in the good old boy network to normalize overextension.
What this has turned into in my opinion is horse shit.
Now "the devil in the ozarks" is nothing but overtime & overextension.
Afghanistan gave the US military the opportunity to x-ray into caves & analyze data, That was 20 years ago.
What our federal & state LE has at their disposal is not talked about.
They already blocked the ability for me to contact my own neighbor through cellphone.
I can call and text his wife but they have blocked US from talking to each other.
So I have to walk over to his house.
