I was a Pride fanboy during those UFC Vs Pride Days, but nobody could deny Liddell’s relevance.
He was the UFC, sprawling against wrestlers then dropping bombs! He single handedly carried the UFC on his back as PrideFC was gaining steam.
Even entering that epic 2005 Middleweight Grand Prix knocking out Guy and Overeem.
Wish ESPN had spent some time on the Wanderlei Vs. Chuck fight (well the build up to it anyways - not so much the fight since Wanderlei just got his head kicked off by Crocop and Rampage had just knocked out Liddell by the time this fight finally materialized, Pride Vs UFC both organizations golden boys.)
