In the year 2020 how would you build the Ultimate Fighter?

Grooming a young one to rise to the top of the fight game, hitting his/her prime by the age of 32 in the year 2052. (Assuming all humanity has not merged with A.I Bots and become real Cyborgs.)

What would you focus on? Give me your thoughts and lets get this rolling.

I'll start it off,

From Age 4-15 focus will be on

Nutrition - Moderate Vegetarian / eat heart healthy foods only.

Body Work:
Abdominals - core will be a main focus to generate power
Forearms - needed for grip / power in punches
Triceps / Lats
Calves - for speed / foot work.

Martial Arts

Wrestling / BJJ
Judo
Muay Thai

Mind

Essential readings: Tao of Jeet Kune Do, Your Forces and how to use them, Mental Chemistry, Holy Bible.

Major focus on Cardio
Swimming - Biking - Plyometrics...with some moderate long distance runs -- sprints will be a priority.

*Defense will the the main focus, once he/she has perfected the defensive strategies behind the striking game / ground game - then we will start move on to the offensive attack.

Have him eat lightning, crap thunder and chase chickens around in the back yard.
When he gets big enough buy him a huge dog to keep him company on his runs.

Get swole.

Sell steroids.

Rat on others.

Get swole while not in jail.

Have perfect blonde offspring who is in no way abnormal from my heavy steroid use.

Train offspring in karate and standing front flips from an early age.

Feed offspring only 99% lean organic Turkey for every meal.

Send him to TriStar at 16 years old and stay out of the way so he can make his game well rounded without me helicoptering.

Disown said offspring.

Adopt Francis Ngannou.

Done. I have the perfect fighter as my son.

I built these back in the day. I don't recommend doing it again for 2020, they are notoriously unstable and impossible to manage. Were unreal fighters, but both died of complications within a year

Also you need to make him into a gif doing the rooster like Mike Perry.

That would probably reset the matrix

Learn to wrestle. Supplement with BJJ, boxing and Muay Thai. Once competent in these skills, dial them back as needed and introduce specific MMA training.

S&C to include some basic compound lifting no where near failure, good nutrition understanding and a decent amount of steady cardio to build a strong aerobic base.

Recovery would be taken very seriously. Monitoring HRV would be very important. Active recovery workouts would be used, as well as the hot tub, yoga and massage.

Pre fight training would consist of volume for light rounds and one shark tank session a week. A couple of hard pad/bag sessions. Weight cut wouldnt be crazy, dieting down to within 10lbs by 10 days out.

Tough upbringing

HEART and Good Hips

WRESTLER with a mean streak

Naturally strong

FAN of mma his entire life

GREAT work ethic

5'9 with the frame of a big 55 POUNDER with good reach

Big neck

Has a Will to succeed at everything

A older brother aka built In training partner

Coachable and respectful

I would train him to attack both sides in wrestling not favoring a particular hand so when I incorporate striking his movement will feel natural changing directions in and angles when training mma..

No girl friend til he's 30..9 times out of 10 women bring fighters down in one way or another .. you have to be selfish in this sport especially in the early phases...managing a relationship is hard enough let alone adding the pressure of training and fighting... balance is near impossible to maintain.. you got a partner in the cage that's trying to mame you..you don't need the mental gymnastics of a woman adding stress

To be continued..
