Here's 2 reviews & some art for another non-superhero/fantasy/adult comic that looks promising: Ether, by Dark Horse Comics.
This review is by Matt Strackbein, colorist for The Burning Metronome, which I posted about before. Matt is an artist, a writer, and he does comic book reviews. He's also become a friend & is a really nice guy:

This review is by an old friend of mine, Erik Koehn.
ETHER #1 - Review - Outright Geekery
I grew up with Erik. His family used to own a comic book shop. He was a few years younger then me but was interesting even back when we were kids. He's an incredibly bright, insightful guy and I'm always interested in what he has to say on just about anything, whether we agree or not,.
Erik has a comic/pop culture podcast called Bloodbath2. There are some notable production issues in the early episodes, but BB2 really hit its stride later on:
Bloodbath2 Podcast
Sorry for the tangent. Back to Ether. Here is the cover art & a sneak preview:
Enjoy!
