As a young kid, after learning how to read at 19 mos. old, I was like "Ohhhhhh.....jewels!"
I went to every library I could & checked out everything, learned all I could about rocks and minerals, and at 9 I joined a Rock & Gem Club.
They had door prizes every week, and I won the door prize once 3 times in a 6-month period!
I still have those pieces, one a cut slab of petrified wood polished on one side, one a double crystal stack, and the other a chunk of Brazilian Jade.

Now I'm old'ish, and I think it's time I concerted my efforts to what I wanted to do in the first place, slang gems, flying in and out of villages like Indiana Jones.
'THEY BELONG IN MY MUSEUM'.

I also wanted all the jewels, but is was probably from Goonies

I did find a snail shell fossil that had orange yellow crystal in it before I saw Goonies so that may be partially responsible, still have it
