Ok Splinty @Splinty I'll do one. Back in the day I used to hang out with my friend pete that I met through another friend Dave. We were like 13 or 14. Normal kid stuff like fighting and breaking into cars. Smoking weed and fishing. The story gets pretty fucked up though. I went to his house often and it seemed normal he had a cage with lizards and his mom was real cool. One day he tells me hes moving to New Jersey and about a week later hes gone. I believe him and his sister were being molested by the stepfather. I thinks that's why the kids left and not the parents. Years later the sister would commit suicide from this abuse. Peter came back to florida and did some escort work for women. He didnt make any money so he started robbing gays by putting ads online. A few years back this was a common tactic. Dudes would beat gay guys up and take all the jewelry and everything. Either way here's pete now. Maybe I'll share our mail back and forth

Facing death, defiant convict tells Broward judge he wants to kill again

SOUTH FLORIDA SUN SENTINEL
JUN 28, 2018

Peter Avsenew, who is facing the death penalty for a Wilton Manors double murder, warned a Broward judge on Thursday that no one will be safe near him if he is not sentenced to death. “I wholeheartedly have nothing to lose,” he said. “And I’m going to take it out on everybody I can.”

A convicted killer facing the death penalty issued a chilling warning to a Broward judge Thursday.

Peter Avsenew, who was convicted last November of two counts of first-degree murder, told Broward Circuit Judge Ilona Holmes he no longer has anything to lose, and that means no one around him is safe. His rant echoed a racist, homophobic letter he wrote to the judge in March.

“It is my duty as a white man to cull the weak and timid from existence,” Avsenew, 33, wrote in a letter the judge received March 9. “Homosexuals are a disease to mankind and must be put down.”

He continued: “I will not ask for mercy and am not sorry. … I can’t put into words the feeling of ending a life; it’s euphoric at the least.”

Avsenew was found guilty of the 2010 murders of Kevin Powell and Stephen Adams, a Wilton Manors couple who took him in after he posted a sexually suggestive classified ad on the Craigslist website.

After he was convicted, Avsenew appeared before the jury during the penalty phase of his trial in January, gloating that he had no regrets and no remorse.

The jury deliberated less than three hours before recommending unanimously that Avsenew be put to death.

Maybe I'll share our mail back and forth
You don't have to share the details but do you really mail him back and forth? Does he still hold a lot of those same views that he has espousing in the article?

If anything hes worse. In the future I may help him write a book about his life and where things went wrong

If you do feel like sharing his letters I'm sure we'd all be interested in reading them.

Would you say he ended up like that as a result of the abuse?
