illegal under the unified rules.
That gif might as well be titled "Monday mornings"
idk.. he didn't spike him.. similar to the 12-6 bs where u can manipulate the angle..
thought the spike rule was 'intentionally driving the head in to the mat' or something to that affect.
"It should be noted when a fighter is placed into a submission hold by their opponent, if that fighter is capable of elevating their opponent they may bring that opponent down in any fashion they desire because they are not in control of their opponent’s body. The fighter who is attempting the submission can either adjust their position, or let go of their hold before being slammed to the canvas."
looks like they clarified the rules in 2017, and the technique in the OP is legal now.
and the spiking ws picking them up and inverting them directly straight up and down spiking them.
One time a guy tried to arm bar me from his closed guard and I threw him 75 feet.
I was 'coaching' my phaghot-ass online blue belt friend at his first tournament. He used to be big in to lifting weights, so even though he's not especially big, he's freaky strong for his size. He locked up a tight armbar in the closed guard, and the guy tried to pick him up. I jumped up to yell "No Slams!" but 'Tom' just went straight to Fuck-Yo-Arm as a slam-defense.
guy's arm made a loud pop-POP! and then sounded like somebody crumpled up some aluminum foil.
Wtf was that guy doing? Is this pro wrestling? No arm bar there. He was going for a leg scissor choke/nexk crank. But when he started to get lifted, he seemed to do everything to help the guy lift him and maximise the damage to himself on the slam, didn't grab the leg, extended his body on the way down, didn't even put his hands down to protect head.
Legal move and if anyone ever tries to armbar me that’s exactly what they’ll get
Correct. If memory serves they specified that it was WWE style piledrivers they were trying to prevent.
No sweaty man will let you pick him up.
That is how my first sexual experience ended.
Oooooh.... He'd be DQ'ed in the IBJJF
Yep. If you can adjust your position to protect yourself then it's legal.
i thought knocking someone out was where your sexual experiences began.
