Tens of thousands a day running up from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras to voluntarily stay in our concentration camps. Easy solution. Don't come up here illegally.
The leftists need to make it our fault and we are bad people.

Valid.

Counterpoint.

Imagine the shit show that they're trying to escape to provide a better life for their families knowing that they could end up in a cage if they get caught.

Spend 70 years overthrowing any government that trys to make peoples lives better to install one that allows the stripping of resources and wealth, and then complain when they try to immigrate. Just American things.

Would you have signed up if college was free?
Is that part of the "just trying to make lives better?"
Does it cost me the suppression of all political opponents, crushing free speech, making my family disappear, controlling every aspect of my private enterprise?

I'm struggling to understand some of the angles on this thread. In theory I support immigration.

But bearing in mind that these days I can't even get a chat with my General Practitioner, without a tangible problem. When I was homeless, the only way I could get a bed to sleep, was in a cell or a Ward. It took me two+ years in locked hospital wards run by foreign doctors, constantly telling me that I wasn't ready to leave.

Sod em. People voted for Trump, the same reason they voted leave over here. The same reason they voted Mugabe in power in Zimbabwe twenty years ago. We want our countries back!

As your own government undermines the wishes of its voters.

I have yet to meet anyone that doesn’t support “legal” immigration. People sneaking into your country isn’t immigration it’s a crime.

they are not trying to immigrate that is the problem . there are legit avenues to immigration . the dont involve showing up at the boarder and expecting to be let in. if you wanted to become an american you could accomplish it through the proper paperwork and procedures.you are a smart guy. you know full well the difference between illegal aliens, asylum seekers and legit immigrants

Zeph referenced a number of "just governments trying to make lives better" or whatever. This was a reference to the myriad of communist and socialist governments that popped up over the cold war and for which the US undermined in varying capacities either directly or making friends with the opposition and enemies of those in power. Zeph is focused on schooling (and then next will go to healthcare) as these are areas these socialist dictators have often made good human progress. Part of his point is if I would take something free it must be good policy. The cost of these governments is a strong man one party dictator that is sure and only sure that he and his buddies have the exact right answer to every problem, and with that suppress speech, political opposition, etc. So you get some good social services at the cost of freedom and maybe your family disappearing. It also ignores the actual context of the cold war, communism as a cultural and political export by the USSR ( that was in almost every way as interventionist as the US undermining these countries we are referencing). I'm happy to talk about the bad parts of our policy. CIA fucked it all up. But the rest is white washing of history....just trying to make lives better

In theory I support immigration.
Conflating legal and illegal immigration is a tactic to support unbridled illegal immigration and paint opponents of illegal immigration as xenophobic and racist.
The problem is illegal immigration. Not immigration.

Okay. But the fact that I was, and am, against the Iraq war, doesn't make me anti Briton/the USA. If anything illegal, and legal immigration has trebled since then...

So let's talk about martial arts... It seems like this is a rare breed. The police use tazors rather than martial arts. And these club owners think they are too big than to let little old me join them.

But when I saw a stranger having a fit in the city centre, who was it that called the ambulance. Out of the crowd which gathered. If anything doing martial arts teaches direction. But there will come a time when you will need to strike out on your own!

I take it back Zeph as actually mentioning martial artists and the CIA plot to take them down I presume.

What I don't understand is why they are not using the facilities to boost the economy? I'm sure there are lots of folks that would like to get their revenge for the attacks on their freedoms and would totally pay for an hour or even 30 mins with one of the prisoners with a bag over his head. Could be huge, create new jobs etc. Like a new kind of theme park

Since they have little world news, Trump should have them do piecework and build border wall sections for Quran useage.
That'd be another Trump NYTIMES bestseller.

"How I made terrorists build our border wall without knowing it, and AOC's reaction when she found out. HA HA "

Ilhan Omar Getting Excited By All This Talk About Concentration Camps
June 20th, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar had a big surprise when she logged into Twitter and saw the term “concentration camps” trending. “Is it finally happening?” she was heard exclaiming with a big smile as she read the news.

Her smile soon faded as she saw exactly what everyone was talking about. “Oh, that’s not real concentration camps,” she muttered. “I mean, I get what Alex is saying, but that’s not... that’s not what I was thinking of.”

Omar later told the press that she was still hopeful “something could be done about all those big money influences on Congress, if you know what I mean.” She then winked, to make sure everyone knew what she meant.
