Who are some guys or girls who got a huge marketing push as the face of their promotion and then disappeared?

The name that immediately springs to mind is Razor Rob McCullough. Guy got a huge push as the face of WEC before losing to Varner. Then what happened to him?

I'll have to watch this one. One of the best fights I've ever seen live was Horodecki vs Shierly. Idk if its on YouTube or anything but that fight was fucking crazy.

Coaches Schultz through this victory, was in chaels corner when he whooped Anderson's ass in the first fight.

A lot of people forget but he was in BJ'S corner at bj/gsp 1 when bj whooped up on gsp.

Lindland was legit. He always got a bad rap, being a wreslter without big power. But he was always active positionally and with ground and pound. Really wore people down. He developed some real nice chokes later in his career, too.

Lindland was the proto Askren. He was exciting with guys willing to exchange and impossible to get off you. He put people off with the double tap against Murilo and the self ko against Niko and the UFC turned against him over sponsorship. Interesting in light of the Reebok deal.
