Sorry to not contribute right away but I'm in the process of learning how to do them right. Really hoping somebody like
@Masato Toys can lend some advice and post his to get this rollin.
Think that was a typo for "but". I absolutely love the one of Silva getting wrapped in a blunt. Wish UFC would put more effort into their poster designs. They're so damn plain.what do you mean by 'bit'?
Yeah but joke posters don't HAVE to look that good, lolDoesn't matter of they're serious or not its the same amount of time if you want it to look good.
Ya I think once I learn to make some I'll appreciate what your talking about much more. Right now if I could figure out how to make some kne s like to above I'd ve pretty happy.Yeah but joke posters don't HAVE to look that good, lol
I make them at low-resolution (internet only), and I don't really fuss if things aren't perfect. If the edges aren't crisp, or shit is pixellated etc its no problem just mock it up and get it done, its just for lulz. Not open to the same level of scrutiny
A real poster is at a MUCH higher resolution which means every step is way slowed down. Takes longer to look for source images, and everything has to look really crisp. I'd say a real finished poster intended for print will take 10-20 times longer than an online parody
ahha solid.Great idea for a thread! Making posters is a fun but tricky business
I have never tried to make a really legit one, but have made a few joke-posters enough to learn respect for a really well-executed design.
The old PRIDE posters used to be so creative, its really weird IMO that the UFC posters are so bland/generic
Here's some of the few I've played with:
oooh those are very neat too. by the same person? Here's some cool ones I've seen
Not sure bud.oooh those are very neat too. by the same person?
I agree and know get you mean but are you referring to shoops and other stuff fan made? I think you got Masato on most your stuff right? The culture of crediting artists on social media is weak. IMO we should make an effort to put the artist name whenever possible.
