Have you ever checked your franchise shiz and how it works?

So 6% of the time they play soccer, nobody scores and everyone could have just stayed home.
No, they still receive a point in a league for this.

But I understand Americans need to get a feely-good thingy for every little action they do, so they play high-point games, instead of having hard work sometimes result in an even contest.

Also there is no need to derail this awesome thread. Everybody knows you Americans just suck in any sport that counts.
So you make your own stuff and play either a sport where physical contact is unwanted (bball), or you play in ridiculous amounts of armor like the pussies you are.

Now:
Don't hate on the manly sport that is American Football bro. The padding and helmets are just ornaments.

I actually am going to add to this.

I had been a huge fan of the NFL, NHL, MLB, ect for about 20 years but I despised soccer. Considering my families Ukrainian heritage I had heard about a soccer player named Andriy Shevchenko who was a Ukraine national hero. I started to pay attention to him and his eventual sale to AC Milan (a giant club in Italy). From that point on I started to follow the sport almost religiously.

I have to say that for the last 18 or so years I have an obsession with the sport and everything else pales in comparison. Yes, the sport takes some getting used to at first but I guarantee if any hater of the sport latches onto a club and follows them for one year you will love it.

A couple things I think are awesome about it are the champions league, the domestic league cups (you could have one of the giant clubs have to play an almost beer league team), the transfer markets are intense.

There is nothing like a Sunday where Ajax could be playing Feyenoord, Arsenal playing Tottenham, Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund vs Shalke, Rangers playing Celtic, ect. The atmosphere even on tv is an absolute spectacle.

You don't see passion like this in North American sports. This is partly why I think soccer is the greatest sport on earth.

That's rich coming out of a system that gives you 7 chances to win a series.
And even if the series goes all the way to 7 games, do you know what you'll never see? A fucking tie.

They both get a point. So, yeah. Nothing gained, nothing lost. Except for the 90 minutes you wasted watching that shit.

You gain a point where as you would get 0 if you lose. Simple math.

A series tied 3-3 is still a tie, and you may have wasted watching 6 games for that. Your words.

Except it doesn't end there. There would be a game 7. Which would decide the series. Because ties are for wankers.

There can be ties in American football
And it sucks. But at least they try to settle it on the gridiron before everybody just packs up their shit and heads home feeling good about how hard they tried.

My 11 year old niece - who is very, very good at soccer - understands how it works.

Lose - No ice cream
Tie - No ice cream
Win - Ice cream

Ice cream is for closers. When you tie, you didn't close out shit.
