Despite confirming that his next fight will take place under the Rizn FF banner, Fedor hinted that the UFC could still be in his future.

"I'm open to all organizations," Emelianenko told reporters. "If you have any suggestions, we look at all of them. In this respect, we like to work with Rizin - contracts are not exclusive. Regarding M-1 Global, that is a big question. I perhaps rather appear in the UFC than in M1."

While fans remain concerned that Fedor may not challenge himself with tough opponent while with Rizin, he added that he is open to rematches against all the fighters who beat him in Strikeforce.

"If they go into Rizin, I'm ready for a rematch with them even now," said Emelianenko. "But it is not yet possible in the UFC."

Seems like he/they just say shit to keep his name out there. I really don't care, to be honest. He had his day in the sun, the Fedor era is over and it's not coming back. Chances are he'll fight a few more irrelevant fights with Rizin and ride off into the sunset again. Good for him.

Jesus, Fedor is small for a heavyweight, he looks way bigger moving around, than in a still.

Maybe he meant it as a dig at M-1 or Vadim Fucklestein. You know, like...

Reporter - "Hey Fedor, how about fighting for M-1 again?"

Fedor - "Pshhh... Yeah, right... I'd fight for the UFC before I fought for M-1 again."

This was my impression.

I would be STUNNED to hear that Fedor would say he'd fight IN the UFC, considering he's been quite adamant so many times in the past against their lack of respect.

I am POSITIVE the spirit is either misconstrued, or lost in translation, which is bound to happen when every reporter on earth asks him the same question in every interview.
This is worded differently from what I'd previously read, and the implications are completely different.

I am suspect every time I read an interview of Fedor, considering Zuffa has made badmouthing him lucrative.

Actually watching his translated interviews released by his side I put MUCH more faith in, as their intended point is likely conveyed much more accurately/honestly.

I learned a LONG time ago not to put too much into any fight, whether it's Cain, JDS, Jones, Anderson or anyone.
They all fight about as frequently.

Fedor gets a pass in my book.
He's nearly 40 and fresh outta retirement.
And I enjoy his fights much more anyway.
And my entertainment quality doesn't hinge on popular(or skewed) opinion.

I also have faith he'll get a higher quality opponent in each of his next two fights.
Even if they're top 20'ish pro's I'll be happy watching him swing.

BLAM!

That's actually what it is, only Fedor would never say "pshhh....Yeah, right..." because that would be him expressing emotion and you know this doesn't ever happen. I'm actually surprised people understood this statement as anything else other than saying that he'll never fight for M1 again.
