One of the things I was worried about with Fedor returning was where he was going to train. So far he has only been training in Russia (though he did bring in some better training partners) than before. But I thought he looked his best when training in Holland under Peter Teijsse.

Well i just talked to Mr. Teijsse and he said Fedor is training in Russia now but starting at the beginning of November he will go to Holland for a 7 week camp. This has me excited for Fedor's future. Peter Teijsse trained Fedor for his last three fights before his retirement.

Excited? Why? Fedors last three fights were all against pretty much washed up fighters and were gimme fights. If Fedor is serious and wants to actually evolve and become a more modern and relevant fighter, he needs to train at a top US camp and stop dicking around. Real talk right there.

I don't know about real talk, real stupid talk perhaps. Fedor looked great in his last 3 fights. Quick, hard striking, great gameplan. He looked as good as he ever did.

Lol what part of "fedor doesn't care what US fans think" don't you get. He is gonna train and make a mint in his fight and the Japanese fans are gonna swarm. Fedor will be just fine as will Japanese mma

You think he looked good ? He fought jokes for competition. Let's see, his last fight he fought Pedro Rizzo, who is now retired, and fought him at the end of his career, he looked like a shell of himself, before that Satoshi Ishii, who no one even knew was before the fight, and is a can, who lost to Rizzo after he fought Fedor, and before that he fought Monson who fights anyone for a paycheck and has lost 5 our of his last 7 against nobodies. Please tell me which one of those studs could beat any guy in the UFC's top 20. TOP 20 haha Name one. You may think my comment is "stupid", but that is real talk punk. Even you might look good fighting someone. Who knows. Oh, and now he is supposed to be fighting some Indian no-name jobber, with 1 MMA fight. Real good competition to showcase those skills. lol Let's see what you got buddy.

Jacksons, AKA, shit any place with good modern fighters. Fedor looks like shit now. He has nothing for any relevant modern HW's. I'm a huge fan of his, but I dont dick ride. He looked like shit against Bigfoot, he played with him, he got choked out easily by Werdum pre-UFC super-Werdum, and KO'd by a fucking small Hendo. His training in Russia is garbage compared to modern camps, and he hasnt done anything to evolve his game at all. He would be killed by pretty much every HW in the UFC. Besides his punchers chance haymakers he throws, which have slowed the fuck down immensely, he'd be a goner.

Who said anything about that. Fedor came out and said he wants to fight the best competition, and thinks he still has it. Then goes out and takes a fight in a no-name org. against a jobber. No shit it is just for the money and he will make that, no doubt. But he is beginning to look like a joke and his name doesnt mean anything quite like it used to. That's a fact.

I agree that he needs a change but there's just not many camps that have a decent amount of heavys to push him like he needs. Maybe he needs to do what allot of guys do and bring in specific training partners to train for specific opponents. Brock did this allot as do other people. It works great.

His Sambo/Grappling isn't the problem, his striking training with Dutch kickboxers is better than what he can get here in the US (unless you're one of the Zuffa Zombies who thinks that Ed from GFC is truly the best striking coach in the world)...... Fedor's biggest issue is S&C, he's always been a blown up LHW (maybe even MW) fighting up in classes. Credit where it's due, he's the GOAT for being a champ truly out of his weight class, but he needs a better dietician and conditioning coach.

You get tired and your technique starts to slip (happens to everyone)... It slips while you're facing a bigger guy, you take more punishment. While it is unlikely to happen, I would've loved to see Fedor return at LHW

Good post. Fedor just needs to focus on some striking techniques (he got careless in Strikeforce) and cardio/S&C. He will be fine.
