Fertittas get nearly $1 billion richer from UFC sale

With the UFC deal finalized, it looks like the Fertitta brothers raked in the cash, adding a half billion dollars each to their net worth.

We know UFC President Dana White made out like a bandit when the UFC sale went through. According to estimates, the UFC Prez made about $360 million dollars for his part of the UFC’s $4 billion dollar sale. But that’s all chicken feed compared to what the majority stake holders, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta will walk away with.

Forbes.com ran looked into the recent UFC sale and here’s what they had to say as to the expected earnings for the the Fertitta brothers:

“Following the sale, brothers Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, who purchased the nearly bankrupt organization for $2 million in 2001, are worth an estimated $1.9 billion apiece after netting…

It's a boost of net worth from before the sale. The UFC was factored into their net worth before. Now after the sale, without the UFC, they are worth 500mil more, each, since the UFC sold for more than it's predicted value. It's not made particularly clear in the article, but that's what is meant.

That applies to Dana as well though. They all got richer. Dana's net worth increase was 72% of $500 million, not 1% or some other value that would actually merit being called chicken feed.
