On Tuesday I'm going to Amsterdam, apparently there's a place called the red light district, or something, that I was told to investigate.
Have fun, wanted to do a Netherlands vacation in the spring, but Corona fucked it up.
Had a holiday flirt from Gent a bit back. She was fun. There is some sort of big festival there involving water and fountains in that town, but no clue when and if in these times.

A bunch of bar/nightclub owners and employees in Broward County held rallies/protests in mid June. At the time, bars were open statewide but still closed in my tri-county area.
They didn't know it but they couldn't have picked a worse time. Case numbers started exploding the very next week, going from about 1,000 a day to 2,000 then 4,000 then 10,000 until we hit our peak of 15,000 on July 12.
Not only did the bars in my area NOT reopen, but the governor ordered the re-closure of bars in the rest of the state lol. They're still closed and will hopefully stay that way for the time being.

Do the Flemish still resent the Walloons in your experience?
It’s just weird here bc you can go to the restaurant bars or the casino bars no problem. Even some of the bars with a grill are allowed to stay open bc their food revenue is a certain percentage of their total... but all the other bars are not allowed to open. Several have closed and won’t open again. I had a friend close his for good. Told his dumb ass to Go in with me on an auto shop for his business venture.

It was the same here for a while until the state/counties started cracking down on it. Places that are licensed as restaurants but have bars can only serve drinks at tables, never at the bar.
A bunch of them were flouting that rule, but now inspectors are doing routine spot checks and based on what I read places are generally abiding by the law now.
