I was bragging recently about how healthy I've been for the last ten years then ended up in the doctor's twice and had a shitty cold. I need to learn how to shut the fuck up.

A waste of time, they are pushed onto the public so that Big Pharma is guaranteed another profitable winter, and to put poisons into your system.

Haven’t read the other 6 pages but Flu shots are bullshit. The formula is based on trends in other parts of the world and are pharams best guess as to what strain of flu we will see here.

That was always my take on it prior to reading this thread.

It was free and I don't mind needles. The nurse was cute, too.

Did you tell the nurse you heard on an MMA forum that you needed a flu shot? Even though after years and years without one? :)

I did not.
I was too busy making my tricep look swole while she prepped me for the shot.

The "flu" hit Australia pretty hard this year and there were a few deaths, not just by old people either. So the media pushed the idea that those people hadn't been vaccinated so they died, but it came out that some had been. Even the Department of Health's own 2016 data shows a 19% effectiveness rate of the flu vaccine. This year the media has even mentioned figures as low as 35%, and how can they vaccinate against the current strain of flu when the vaccine is based on previous versions? As I get older I do find that I'm more susceptible to colds and crap like that in the colder months, but I do not believe that a Flu vaccine is the answer. People need to make sure that they boost their immune system through natural means.

I think my flu shot was full of Viagra. I had a hard on for a week!

No flu though. I guess that's just how this years flu works...
