A former freemason found drunk and naked inside a huge pipe organ has appeared in court accused of damaging the historic instrument - insured for more than $1 million.

Glenn Langford was arrested on Wednesday after allegedly flooding the Brisbane Masonic Memorial Centre and setting off the fire alarms.

The 51-year-old faced charges at the Brisbane Arrest Court on Thursday and was granted bail.

But he said his intentions were initially well-meaning and the night had got out of hand after downing a bottle of Johnny Walker whisky, 7 News reports.

The court was told he had been meaning to hand out cheeseburgers to the homeless.

Food was left scattered on the floor of the grand hall of the heritage-listed temple in Brisbane's CBD, which features one of the biggest organs in Queensland.

It is feared the organ, installed in the 1930s, may be too damaged to be repaired despite it being insured for $1 million.

Mr Langford is charged with allegedly damaging a number of organ pipes and destroying part of a decorative wall.

He was also discovered naked along with clothes, a remote controlled police car and toy gun.

The magistrate heard from Mr Langford's lawyer who explained he had last week lost his job and was getting over the breakdown of a 16-year relationship.

Decorative wall was reported to be damaged and the pipes were also allegedly damaged overnight

He was granted bail on the condition that he stayed more than 100 metres away from the centre in Ann Street.

'Things just got a little loose, I was out of it,' Mr Langford told 7 News.

He apologised to 'all the righteous Freemasons everywhere'.

'I did have a lot of cheeseburgers to give to the homeless. I'm going to see a shrink and don't drink,' he added.

What does him being a freemason have to do with any of this? And fuck you if you think I am reading all that.

Agree with HEATH VON DOOM @HEATH VON DOOM

In regards to Freemasons I do think there should be a law implemented making it mandatory to divulge ones membership in a Fraternal Order.

I do hope y'all know what The Freemasons in the modern word are all about.
I'm amazed at how big Freemasonry is, driving through small towns across the U.S and you'll see all the old store fronts and just about in every little bullshit town you will find a Masonic center no matter how small the town.

Freemasonry is much more bigger then the average citizen could comprehend.

They operate in secrecy.

They have been able to take over just about every major sector in the business area with the promotion system.

Most average people do not understand that if a Freemason is running a business and has two employees applying for a position - 1 a Freemason the other not then the Owner who is a Freemason will hire the Freemason over the average Joe -- that goes for promotions as well.

That is how they have elevated to the top of the pyramid and have taken over many businesses.

You know full well I won’t be reading all of that. I have family who have left. I don’t know if he’s still involved but my best friend is or was a Freemason. Stfu about it. I’ve been on weekends away with this, they are nice people who do charitable work for the community.

lol, maybe you should read before talking shit, because everything I spoke about the Freemasons was truth.

Listen, I have nothing against the lower Masons -- they are just the pawns - getting milked of their money for their monthly membership dues.

The teachings of the Freemasons on a lower level is to help them become a better man/women/citizen, all very respectable things.

But as you rise the ranks to the top ...the top dogs is where I have the issue -- they worship Lucifer which they consider the Light Bearer or morning star -- this is when shit gets blurred between what the Freemasons teach and Biblical Scripture.

I've known many. And they have openly admitted getting promotions within companies due to their membership.
So...nepotism. Completely. That's hardly dark and sinister is it?

The nicest I can remember was a guy who used to send his wife flowers every week. He died, so they took over and made sure she still got flowers sent every week.

Like I said, lower level Masons I have no issues with ..typically very respectable people looking to do good, it's the top of the pyramid 33 degree Master Masons in control of the system that I have issues with.

Two brother in laws were grand masters, my best mate (not discussed whether he is still or not) two of my bosses, one of whom I was really close to and the family accountant. They're shady in business when needed but fuck that. They're not sinister.

Lovey. I know life sometimes seems like it is really out to get us, but sometimes life is just it. It's life.
We'll all be fine in the end whether we get knocked off the planet or not. I intend to live it till its fullest till that happens though.

Precisely. Both of my brother in laws met with their lodge once a quarter for proper meetings, but the rest was just charitable work.
