Hence my "fucking derp" comment.
Imagine having to read a handful of coins to see what they are worth.
Apparently coin making is just another thing America fucking dominates in.
A crown was 5 shillings in old money, there were 20 shillings to a pound. A shilling was 12d (old pence), so 60 pence.
After decimilisation shillings were worth 5p, so a crown would be 25p in new money.

So Canada has an English King's name and an American President's portait on the front and a fucking beaver on the back.
I found other Canadian money. So far we have an Elk, a maple leaf and a sailboat.
It's like they had a contest for 4th graders to pick what goes on their coins.

And lol at judging us on coin sizes. ALL your notes from a thousand to a dollar are the same size.

I check coin star machines for the rejects when I walk by them, they reject silver coins usually because the weight is off
Have found 3 silver dimes and a silver quarter...Silver dime is worth 2 bucks and a silver quarter around 5 bucks
