Thirty fighters are no longer under contract with Bellator, including former UFC champion Frank Mir and longtime heavyweight mainstay Roy Nelson.

From former champions and headliners to relative newcomers, 30 fighters are no longer under Bellator contract. At this time, it is unclear which fighters have been released and which have had their respective contracts come to an end.

However, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to MMA Junkie on Tuesday that a list of fighters initially reported by MMA journalist Jason Floyd is accurate. The sources asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Check out the complete list of fighters Bellator has parted ways with:

Shit. Doesn’t look good for Bellator unless they are handily focusing on developing over seas talent?

Trimming the fat. Only fighter on that list who I think should have stayed is Cris Lencioni, and he was at the end of his contract, so maybe they re-sign him.

Wow I remember when Joe Warren was their guy...

The baddest man on the planet!

I had no idea he was even still on the roster. Looked him up to see when his last fight was (which was 2018) and found this info nugget on wiki lol

“On October 29th 2019 Joe started a Go Fund Me so he can make a run for a return to the mat at the 2020 Olympics, but he did not receive any donations.

There's a lot of young guys on that list that are talented but need more seasoning. I'm surprised to see some of them no longer under contract.

I heard they were crazy strict, getting in trouble with the state for imposing checkpoints at roads going into the res
Saw no evidence around me. I live by a few of Californians biggest Indian casinos.

Edit
There is a checkpoint to get onto actual reservation. But they’ve had them as long as I can remember.

Why, because Ricky Bandejas and Frank Mir were carrying the company..?
Biggest fight in promotions history on a 3 fight main card doesn’t make me overly optimistic things are going great. I wouldn’t be surprised if cbs sports turns Bellator into a one fight 30 minute show at some point.

Bandejas, Mir, Country, Warhorse, Gozali, Carvalho, Campos, Schilling, Kimbel, Bunch, Crawford, Pascu, Fitch & Curran, all had big crowd support or were longtime mainstays.

What it shows, is that upper management is continuing operations on a budget, as well as perhaps no arena openings anytime soon.

Thank you for your clarification in inquiry.
