Fury reportedly guaranteed $12.5 million for Schwarz fight

We’re just hours away from Tyson Fury taking on Tom Schwarz in a Top Rank on ESPN+ main event. It’s the first fight of Fury’s lucrative promotional contract with Top Rank, and if all goes according to plan, he will rematch Deontay Wilder in early 2020.

The fighter salaries are out for Saturday’s card in Las Vegas, Nevada. Officially, Fury’s purse is $1 million, but it’s going to be much more than that. ESPN’s Dan Rafael reports that Fury will get $12.5 million. Tom Schwarz’s purse is $250,000 but evidently his guarantee is in the “low seven figures,” which means he benefits from being a B-side to a big star in the form of at least $1 million.…
