I want to take a minute and speak about last night's TUF show. If you haven't seen it I strongly encourage you to watch it. I am going to address several things from my point of view from working as a Licensed Official and as a Commissioner so if you don't want to know the spoiler from the show do not read on.

Blackzillion Owner Glen Robinson's conduct last night is something that is wrong with our sport. It showed that mma is just a play thing for a rich guy. Nothing more nothing less. As a Owner/Manager to have climbed the cage to cuss out an Official is unacceptable. To have went outside of the venue to confront the Ref and threaten him is criminal in some states and could have gotten him arrested on felony charges. The Florida Commissioner is where he should have addressed any issue he had if he felt his fighter was done wrong. I have dealt with countless Managers and several appeals and I have never that stepped over the line like Glen did last night. I understand he was upset and is feeling the pressure but to be a person in the position he is in you should hold yourself to a higher standard and set the example to your team. If I was on his team I would have deep concerned about entrusting him with my career after seeing how he cannot handle situations. Even Liborio tried to calm him down and said "he's hurting the sport this is not the place to do this" which Glen even agreed and yet still went outside and after the Ref.

Ref
I have been a huge critic of the officiating this season but let me be the first to say the ref last night did an outstanding job. The groin shot would have been missed even from the best angle as the way it landed in the groin and more-so on the torso. He didn't stop the fight from body shots. I agree that it should not have been stopped at that point. He was right there making sure Graves was ok. You give fighters all the time they need as long as they are not in harms way. Let them fight out of a bad situation. He did just that.We had proof of how ineffective they were when Graves hit a double and choked out his opponent. Also the Ref caught the back of the head blows and the fence grab. If anything this Ref should be given a huge thanks from anyone who is a fan of the sport.

Allot can be learned from last night. Good and Bad

Thanks for the insight. I haven't watched this season but I haven't heard anything good about it, especially the two gym owners.

I watched last night and was appalled at his childish behavior and that no one on his team objected to it.
That was more telling to me about Glenn's gym. No other coach on that team felt comfortable addressing him and talking sense like Liborio did. In an earlier episode one of their fighters, Usman, threw a temper tantrum during a training session, no one looked especially surprised by it. Totally not impressed with that gym nor its lack of character.

This is why I keep saying it's a play toy for a rich guy. Once he gets bored where are all of these guys going to go?

On the flip side you have Dan at ATT. He goes into the locker room after a loss speaks in a normal tone to his fighters and gives constructive criticism where it's needed and positive reinforcement as well.

I still am in disbelief the Commissioner let this happen.

Lambert was also fair in his review of the fight, giving Jackson credit for pouring it on after the shin job.

I thought the ref was facing Jackson's back when the unintentional kick happened.
refposition1.jpg
First shot he is walking off screen to the right and circling round.

2 seconds later we see the kick.
refposition2.jpg
After a switch to another angle 2 seconds after the kick we see the ref walking towards the action from a position almost perpendicular from where the kick happened. You can see by position of the black octagon lines.

I don't think it should of been stopped but tbh I was surprised that it wasn't waived off when he balled up.
I dislike Glenn intensely. I hate his prick of an assistant. So Yay ATT!

Idk what was worse his tantrum or running in the coaches challenge...He is a Rich fat bald crybaby dillusional punk ass pussy bitch...Hes lucky he has a whole team, protecting him because he will beaten to a pulp eventually...Plus Jason the guy who lost makes more excuses than Any Brazilian out there..watching Dom Cruz embarrass him on the after show is GOLD..He has jason ready to fight him lastnight also..

Dom is by far my favorite analyst now..Hes brilliant when it comes to fighting and breaking down every facet...Jason could be Very good but his lack of ability accept his mistakes will ruin him...If you haven't watched any of this season watch last night's episode and tuf talk after the episode...Its been a decent season and I hope they do Jackson Vs AKA next season imho..The remaining episodes will be with the watch..

I didn't see it, but sounds like Robinson is using the TUF platform to cast his image as a Mark Cuban type.
