Since the OG Iis dead, I am starting a new golf thread here.

Last night in the company league I drove a golf ball into some guys truck on the first tee in front of two of our execs and a bunch of other people.

That's the whole story.

After hole 6 yesterday afternoon the sky opened up and it absolutely downpoured.

I didn't have one of those fancy umbrellas for my clubs so I emptied my bag of ice that was holding my beers, flipped it inside out and improvised.

I was +1 through 6. Playing pretty well. My round went to shit after the rain. Standing water everywhere and the greens were practically unputtable. Finished bogey, bogey, bogey.

Earlier this summer I played the Donald Ross Course in French Lick.

Challenging course. Elevated, undulating greens. Deep bunkers. Monster Par 3s.

I was in a scramble and we finished 7 under. Left about 4 strokes out there with longer putts that just missed. I think 14 under won it so it wouldn't have mattered.

Brought home a scorecard:

Yup. I think it's a requirement anytime it rains on a golf course, but the "I don't think the heavy stuff is going to come down for quite a while" line was definitely used.

Nice, we’ve been missing a golf thread here. We just moved into a new house and I have a room to build a golf simulator. It’s 14 feet wide by 20 ft deep and 10.5 tall. Perfect for a sim. Of course I’m broke now after buying the house and we haven’t even put our old house on the market yet. As soon as I can, this room will be up to speed, hopefully by winter.IMG_7130.jpeg

Played Cypress Head in Daytona yesterday and I’m playing at Streamsong on Tuesday. Pretty excited to play Streamsong.

Perfect spot for a sim!

I'm building a barn hopefully this fall. I plan to put a sim in there. The question is what setup I want to go with. Some are reasonably priced. Some are insanely expensive.

Yeah, there are so many different combinations to choose from. Fortunately my wife is totally on board with this. Of course she thinks we will also use it as a home theater.

2-man scramble today, random pull. Guy I was with was hitting pars and birdies. We scored a 40 on 9, I think we used 5 of my shots. Just found out we won. So, I guess I'm kind of a big deal.

Played streamsong blue yesterday and shit a 79. Shot a 38 on the front with a double bogey on number 9. I got tired around that point and it was a struggle coming in. But it was a very good course and I recommend it for anyone that gets an opportunity to play it.

I was in a scramble yesterday. Really nice country club. Challenging course.

I shot decent - not awesome. We ended up 5 under whixh probablt put us in the middle of the pack. Winning score was -11.

I did have a couple drives that were absolute piss-missiles. 300+ carry.

Played a random draw two man scramble yesterday and won. I think there were 12 or 13 teams. The guy I was with played great. I played line shit. I think I contributed 4 of our 40 shots, 3 of which were putts he set up for me. Luckily, my terrible handicap came in Clutch and gave us the win.

My 12 year old son and I have been trying to play at least 2 rounds per week. We’ve been playing best ball scrambles just the 2 of us trying to break par. We’re getting close, today we were 5 over on 18. If we could just clean up stupid mistakes, we’ll make it. My son’s getting better every time we go out. He loves it.

I nover had the patience. I blame that on everyone but me. I wish I could have mastered it because I would have been the greatest
