Pretty good IMO. For those actually interested in the mechanics of the fight and not emotionally invested. The breakdown is in the first few minutes...

This one is a good one i think you'll like it....Just saw this- gotta find a minute to actually sit down and watch it, but I love the Gracie Breakdowns. Ortega was a guest on several of them way before he debuted with the UFC.
Actually they do break it down and why anyone would have tapped to that or went to sleep...Do they break down his tapping?
Before I watch it- I'm guessing they mention Maia vs Story. He tapped him the same way- anyone who thinks 'the choke wasn't even all the way in' doesn't understand what Khabib was doing.Actually they do break it down and why anyone would have tapped to that or went to sleep...

Without even trying to fight the hands ? Not even for a second? He tapped with a quickness just like vs nateActually they do break it down and why anyone would have tapped to that or went to sleep...
Like they said in the video though, his hands were occupied (he was using them to post himself up off the mat), so he was in a position where he couldn't use his hands to defend. The problem isn't Conor not fighting hands (which is harder with that grip) or even tapping. It's the fact that the RNC for him is basically like Chael with the triangle. Knowing how he's fallen prey to it in the past when rocked or tired, he should have several go to maneuvers to prevent someone even getting the hooks in and should be defending his neck long before the arm even gets around it. Danis failed him, which is what I'm guessing Khabib was going over to inform him. And that's a shame because Danis learned how to apply and defend the RNC in one of the toughest rooms in the world at Marcelo's.
Yeah but his hips got lazy. It seemed like he either was too out of it or was too focused on getting up as his only hope. I think he's put in a lot of work on the mat, but for this fight he needed to put as much time as he did into boxing Floyd.Like they said in the video though, his hands were occupied (he was using them to post himself up off the mat), so he was in a position where he couldn't use his hands to defend.
How was he supposed to use his hips khabib had a body lock and was sitting up against the cage and using his hips to crank the Choke? There was no way outta that one. Maybe he could have laid down on his side and then used the hands to try and escape the choke but then khabib most likely would have went to mount or not let go of the neck and flatten him out.Yeah but his hips got lazy. You're talking about way too late in the choking process. Conor was trying to use a foot drag escape to get out of mount, but his hips started flailing one way and then another. Khabib adjusted his weight then pinned him then released to transition to the back. Conor put his hands on the floor to stand, which he had no business doing with the legs grapevining him. All I'm saying is the guy needs more mat work and especially at least 2-3 reliable goals for when he's on his back and his foot drag exposes his back. It's an achilles heel position for him right now. Dillon has a fantastic attacking game on the back and defenses to go with it, but obviously there's only so much you can impart in whatever time they train together. Kavanaugh is also a very legit grappler. I have to assume they haven't worked on this vulnerability, but something isn't sticking. My guess is McGregor's extreme belief in his left hand makes him desperate to get back to his feet to use it even in moments when he needs to be thinking about something else. How was he supposed to use his hips khabib had a body lock and was sitting up against the cage and using his hips to crank the Choke?
