I'm sorry to have insulted the movie with literally one good scene that lasts about 20 seconds (and doesn't have the supporting actor in it) or the other one about someone that trips over a fucking stool.

Kurt Russell has had a good career. Could've gotten a win with 'Miracle' or 'Tombstone' and I'd doubt anybody would've complained.

I don't actually know who "won" anything acting wise
those dudes are good though

although those two movies are just alright for me...he kills it in the Thing and Big Trouble also...plus a dozen more

Mel is a beast...makes the best movies/stories

Mel toned it done for hacksaw ridge. Which makes me think that he was instructed to tone it down.
Compare hacksaw ridge to apocalyptico. Night and day in tone and delivery.


Personally I can't wait to see what he directs next.

He's an incredible director. If he didn't get shitfaced and go off on a rant about the jews, who knows what he would've produced.
Sequel to passion of the christ comes out next year. See how that plays out.
