GSP turned down Silva fight - wont return to sport w/ PED problem

Georges St-Pierre recently admitted that he was indeed offered a super fight against Anderson Silva prior to his steroid scandal. The former welterweight champ says he declined the bout and is not interested in a return just yet. He spoke about it at the MMA Hour.

"(Dana White) told me to fight in Montreal and he also texted me to see if I was interested in fighting Anderson Silva right before the (drug test results) came out. I said no. And my answer was negative. Then the whole thing came up and it was bad."

"A fight versus Anderson wouldn't interest me. I never said never, but now is not the time for me. I am not interested right now. The way everything goes, I'm not interested right now. I am busy with other stuff too. I took a break and I now I am very happy."

"When I tune in to a big UFC fight, I get excited but I don't know what's going to happen to me. I am not saying I am making a comeback, but right now the sport needs to get cleaned up. I am not interested to compete if the sport is not clean, that is one of my major concerns."

Well i don't blame him, Dana and the UFC probably knew Silva was juicing to get back into the ring. Maybe it was a one time thing, but it doesn't matter illegal is illegal and GSP seems like a guy that plays by the rules. So if he feels that the UFC should be renamed the PED then that's his right not to return.

Dana wants to make a buck off GSP so bad. Maybe he shouldn't have talked so much shit about him and just maybe then GSP wouldnt be so sour about coming back. If i was GSP I wouldnt be coming back either to line their pockets after the way he was drug through the mud.
