Asked if he wanted to see McGregor come back as a welterweight, or if he'd rather see him at a lighter weight, Gunnar said his preferences tend towards the latter.

"It's really just up to him, whatever he wants to do," he said. "I think that 145 is...I know he can go back down and defend his title, no problem. But I just think he doesn't want to do that cut again. It's a nasty one, and I agree with him. I understand that. So I think maybe I would like to see him going to the 155 before going all the way up to the welterweight. But you know, he can do whatever he feels like."

We will see Conor at 145 when Dana shows him whose dick is bigger. Conor had the world by the balls and got whatever he wanted till this last stunt. He will defend that belt at least once.

Are we still waiting to hear if he's defending that thing or not?

McGregor really belongs at 155. He's just too sucked out at 145 and looks like Skeletor. But as long as he makes weight that's all that matters I guess. I enjoy his fights no matter what weight class.

Yeah he always looks like a crazy old man at weigh-ins.

By right Mc Gregor has to go back and defend or just give up the belt. He has to stop with the rematch crap. That ship has sailed.. For now. It didn't really make sense in the first place but after it was axed from 200 it's time to forget about it

Yup, Conor should just fight at 155. Too dangerous to cut to FW and will affect him long term Health wise.

If he can do it and stay healthy, then do it.

But yeah he definitely doesn't make the cut as easily as JBJ makes 205.

He tried to fight a 155 fighter... Who had short notice. Didn't work out too well.
If he wants to be a belt holder, or at least a contender, he's going to have to cut out the potatoes and make that cut.

CMac has looked haggard on a few occasions at weigh ins. Only division he could have won that title in though

I think there are some really good match ups at LW even if he doesn't contend for the belt. Like Conor vs Michael Johnson or Conor vs Barboza or even Porier, who at LW seems to be more physically stronger and is adding a wrestling aspect to he's game, oh and let's not forget he can take a shot better cause he's not cutting tons of weight no more. Oh and last, the Todd Duffy rematch is always there.

Sure it's got to be one helluva weight cut but he did it over half a dozen times in the UFC and also went back and forth between 145-155 fighting before that. There are a LOT of fighters doing similar cuts out there (if not even moreweight) and it doesn't seem to be as big of a topic. Is it because Conner is willing to fight in a bigger weight class at 155 or even at 170? Who knows, but I bet if Aldo wins against Frankie, Conner drops back to 145 at least one more time to defend the Belt. If Frankie wins I'm not so certain Conner will go back down, just got the feeling he want's nothing to do with Edgars wrestling, speed or Cardio. Then again it may be an entirely different story if Conner Loses again to Nate, proving once and for all he does'nt have the size or power to hang with the top WW's making him drop back to 145 before moving up to 155.
