Gustafsson was last in action in May 2017, scoring a vicious fifth-round knockout of the heavy-hitting Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC Fight Night 109. This past November, he went under the knife to repair an injured shoulder but is now looking to book his return fight. The towering Swede has hoped that would result in a rematch with current champ Cormier, who downed Gustafsson via split decision in an epic 2015 encounter. However, with Cormier booked to fight Miocic after their stint as coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 27,” that will have to wait.

Not really, he's already the number 1 contender, but can't get a shot now, so goes and calls out DC's teammate. Once he murks him, hopefully after DC gets beaten by Stipe, hellh be forced to fight Gus (redemption for his teammate AND Gus is the top contender)

yes...he is trying to paint DC into a corner and also create a storyline

I do think DC would struggle with Gus...Gus is a very intelligent fighter and will have made adjustments...Plus DC aint getting younger....plus his next 205 cut will be a beast cause he is sure to put on some muscle with a less restricted diet for HW....
